Not authentic! We don't get sweet corn in the kothu! It wasn't that bad, but the portions are little, and it could have felt more authentic!

Great food, we came with friends and really enjoyed it. Very delicious and healthy, little fat and sugar which is great and very well spiced.

It took me time to write this review because I had quite a traumatic experience of what I regard as extreme rudeness in this restaurant (I am aware that this review will get a similar reaction from the owner). Usually, I don't like to put negative reviews but I've never had such an experience before. We ordered Betelumas-Biryani which was supposed to arrive with lamb, cashew nuts, raisins etc. What we got was far from what was described: it tastes like a rise boiled half with tomatoes and half with chilli peppers. No hints of meat (the owner pretended it was minced and mixed deep inside the dish), no hints of cashews or raisins, unless they were present as an invisible powder. The dish was so horrible spicy, not tasty ans not eatable for both of us that this was the first time we weren't able to eat it. When I started to discuss it with the owner, he told me in an extreme rude and aggressive way that this is the dish and we have to pay for it. We were in a hurry so didn't have time to change it for something else as he suggested so in the end after long and unpleasant discussion he agreed to accept a half payment. No excuses, apologizes from the owner. We went out of this restaurant with such a bad feeling after the food and rude treatment that this was the first time I cried on my way out of there.

Had a great time at Suriya Kanthi. As a fellow Sri Lankan I was impressed with the authenticity of the food. The price was also reasonable! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I Would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking to try some good Sri Lankan :)

As always, incredible food and service. We love coming here and are so happy we can sit here and eat again. If you want to try some amazing Sri Lankan food you have to come here and try it.

Far from being a nice experience.
The service was too inefficient and extremely slow, we even had to go inside seeking them to order another drink or to pay. Otherwise we would still be waiting for them today.
The food was also nothing that would make me come back.

After eating the food, we felt like we were robbed. Not worth it. Note to restaurant: The palak paneer should be taken out of the menu if you don't know how to make it. What was made was basically coconut milk, some spinach leaves that you just cleaned raw and some frozen paneer. It was tasteless, bad mix of spices even for other curries, please take it out.
