The first impression was good, the hotel is nice, situated in a good central area. We had a superior double room, which was spatious and comfortable and the people from reservations were very nice to offer us a quiet room as I’ve asked (we could still hear the elevator, but still better than the traffic).
Unfortunately the room was not very clean and we only received a small soap, a small bottle of shampoo and another small one of body lotion for 2 people for 4 nights!!! Even if I’ve announced the reception and even the manager of the hotel, we finally had to go to supermarket to buy some more! The sheets weren’t changed for 4 nights and room has never been vacuumed.
We also had a complaint about the waiter from breakfast, Mr. Aladag, who was supposed to provide us a good service, unfortunately, by contrary, he was very angry when I’ve politely asked him to clean a table for us, starting screaming that there is another clean table, which was around the corner and we couldn’t even see...
Afterwards, after we moved at the table which was convenient for him, we went to take some juices and he started screaming again, in the middle of the restaurant, asking about the room number, which we already have told to his colleague from the entrance of the restaurant. So, he didn’t clean the table for us, but he continued screaming like we were criminals. Very “nice” behaviour, it never happened anything like this to me before...
At almost 200 euro per night, I was expecting an even better standard for the Novotel Berlin Mitte than the other Novotel and in general Accor hotels, but it was much worse...
