Cozy vibes, non smoking area, friendly staff. Unfortunately the acoustics are terrible or perhaps the the sound engineer did a bad job. Nonetheless it was too loud for the small amount of people attending the concert.

Very nice setting. Pricy bar, of course. But very cool, atmospheric, intimate place.
But the music was too loud to a point were you couldn’t hear a thing that was being sung, it was all just noise.
We also couldn’t hear anything being said by the artist in the pauses because our ears were so temporarily deaf, which sucked and the sound was weird, I think they could use a better/clearer amp and maybe equalise a bit differently, idk.
But overall I had such a great night. :)

small and intimate atmosphere.
there's a little bar with rather good prices, so feel free to get a drink and move along to your favourite bands ! (toilets are available nearby)
the speakers are only okay though.
outside is a nice lounging area with a water fountain, some food and drinks and a lot of seating ! my friends ordered some sweet potatoes fries from the schiller burger booth (which was good, but def overpriced for the size. and also the only food booth i saw)
all in all, a good experience.

Kantine is the cutest venue ever! Perfect for concerts or private parties. Unlike the big club next door, the staff at the entrance and inside is friendly and welcoming. I gave them my phone on arrival by reflex and they said no, they don't put stickers there to stop people from shooting photos. There's an outdoor area if you need fresh air.

I've been to 2 rock concerts there. It's a really tiny concert place with decent acoustics, great for intimate concerts. The stage is just about a half a meter above the ground so you can stand really close to the artists.
The cloakroom is located behind the stage, somewhat inconvenient location, but good it's there. Despite being small the venue hosts a bar with decent choice of drinks. May be hard to reach if the venue is crowded, so make sure to get your drinks in advance.
There's a rest area between the main entrance and the actual concert room but it's smoking area. So, no place to hang out for none smokers.
The Kantine is located on the side of the Berghain main building, it seems not associated with it really. I recommend getting there from the behind of Berghain, not from the front where the other crowd waits to get in to Berghain.

Didn't like the atmosphere. People were talking too loud during the concert. To get to the stage room you have to pass completely smoked stinky area. Paid 1€ to the dressing room to get my smoked smelly jacket back. Really awful place for a non-smoker. 3 stars just because I enjoyed the concert itself, but very unlikely will come back, unless someone really great is performing.
