Hotel Arrival

I've got the room with windows on the Street side at 1st floor, and it was really loud (it would be a problem in the summer time because there is no air conditioner) .
Sheets and pillows were in good condition and clean. Tv was flat, but qite old and with maybe about 12 channels. But who would prefer to watch tv instead of Berlin city ;P
In my case, the worst part of the room was the bathroom. Toilet bowl was not well mounted to the floor so moving when you sittin on it or getting up from. Lamp over the mirror was not working, so it was difficult to shave using only light on the ceiling or one-side light coming through the window. The handshower holder was one side detached from the wall. The sink drain probably has not been cleaned for a long time.
No door-handle tag to inform that I don't want my room to be cleaned by service, or just with "do not disturb" info.
Despite the drawbacks mentioned above, the hotel has two important advantages: a relatively low price and the fact that it is close to KaDeWe.
The guy at the recepcion was really nice and helpful.

The Hotel canceled our reservation for no reason When we arrived to the reception with a reservation, there was nobody there. We called the number we were instructed to by a paper note on the reception and the receptionist told us that he gave our room to somebody else and that the hotel is full. We have arrived more than one hour before the end of check-in time. We were not offered help to find other accommodation and the receptionist hanged up on me.

The location is great, in the center of the city and parking is included. The breakfast is good, the food is ok.
The rooms look worse than in the hotel pictures and they smell strange. The room was not cleaned properly. It was not dirty, but it could have been better.

A clean nice hotel! Breakfasts are decent. A nice touch when we arrived they had put up two travel cots for our young children. Much appreciated after travelling all day and getting into room with two weary little one!!

Stayed in the hotel for 5 nights. Never again. First of all the sheets smelled and were not clean. In the mornings around 6/7 there's a laundry service van at the back of the hotel which delivers fresh towels. That guy is unbelievably loud which means every morning around 6:30 it wakes you up.

Breakfast was among one of the worst hotel breakfasts I have ever had. Interior is very outdated (not that I care about that, but just thought I'd mention) and personnel are very unfriendly.

Seriously, if you're considering this hotel: don't do it. There are cheaper hotels in better neighborhoods in Berlin that offer so much more..!!

Very nice clean hotel with free parking. Nice that it is so close to downtown. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Fanciest automated coffee / cappuccino machine. Loved it. Would stay here again

OK value for price, currently in the process of renovating it seems (paneled floors), baths, though tiny plus towels are clean, beds appear clean, couch in the room was full of stains though. Free parking is a great bonus. Breakfast is absolutely ok for the price. If you manage to get rooms facing the inner courtyard it is quiet. Vending machines at the reception for drinks and snacks, no other amenities.

Hotel is a bit long in the tooth, but acceptable for the price. Location is great, easy to reach from the Autobahn and only 10 minutes walk from the KaDeWe, closest subway station is 2 minutes walk away.

Staff was friendly throughout.

All in all perfectly fine for one or two nights for solo travelers or pairs who just need a bed and a breakfast and do not expect more, would not recommend for families or longer stays though.
