This hotel is magical. The staff is so friendly, the rooms are comfortable, and the view unbeatable. My only critique is on the bathroom doors, they do not lock or close all the way, as such there is little if no privacy. I stayed in a room with a close friend, however we did not to witness each other using the toilet.
We ate exclusively at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner for convenience. The food is excellent.
The staff speaks almost exclusively German, however they do their best in English. I speak German but my best friend speaks none, she got along fine.
Would love to return. Thank you Helmerhof for your hospitality

Really enjoyed our stay here.

We came with our toddler son and our room was quite spacious for the three of us. They had set up our cot with sheets and a pillow for him - plus chocolate on his pillow. He was delighted! We also loved that there was a yard with a swing set for him to play

Room and facilities are really clean. Views are lovely. Breakfast is fresh and plentiful. The restaurant is really really good - best meals we had in Germany.

Location is fantastic for seeing the castles as well as exploring the area. This is a great place to stay for those who want to be a bit more rural - we were so glad we hadn't booked in Fussen when we got here. Loved how close it was to the lake which has a gorgeous path to walk. They also have bicycles which we would have loved to use but the weather was not cooperating.

We was at restaurant only and it was nice. Local food (Bavarian) nice stuff. Really recommend to eat, drink and may be stay.

Staff was very friendly, spa area was very relaxing. A great breakfast was included. We arrived around 3pm on a Sunday and kitchen was closed until 530. so finding something to eat was difficult. They did have coffee, cake and pastries even when kitchen was closed though.

Helpful staff can speak German or English, wonderful meal, couldn't fault anything. Help yourself salad and an excellent menu, what is not to like! The chicken breast with vegetable rice did not disappoint, my husband had the pork medallions with mushroom sauce and real homemade chips, he wooffed the lot. We have made another reservation, what else could recommend?

Nice food, but if you're not a guest staying at this hotel you are not made to feel welcome. The staff are very abrupt and even when my husband spoke in German they made out they couldn't understand him. Very rude. We will not be returning.

Visited the restaurant. Pretty place. They offer a great food for a reasonable price. They have a big parking.
