You will have walk the inclined road to reach the overlooking point, so you might need good shoes or hiking stick if you have knees or legs pain

Bereits seit 1980 ist diese Halde öffentlich zugänglich. Vom Aussichtsturm aus hat man eine gute Sicht auf die Umgebung, außer da, wo die Baumwipfel bereits höher sind ;-) Man kann gut auf's Centro, das Gasometer und die Umgebung schauen z.B. das neue 'Topgolf' ist gut zu sehen. Die Halde könnte besser gepflegt sein, war für uns aber einen Ausflug am 28.08.2022 wert.

Das Ding hier hat echt schon bessere Tage gesehen. Wenn ihr in der Nähe wohnt, isses vielleicht ganz nett zum entlang Joggen, um die Pumpe wieder in ganz zubringen. Aber wenn ihr euch genauer da umschaut merkt ihr schnell, das wir viel schönere Halden in der Umgebung haben.

Hab von da aus versucht den Blutmond zu Fotografieren.
Kann ich echt nicht empfehlen. Da rennen Nachts echt ein paar finstere gestalten rum????

Meine Empfehlung wenn ihr scharf auf Halden im Pott seid:

-Halde Haniel
-Halde Beckstraße (Tetraeder)
-Halde Hoheward

Sehr schöner Ausblick in alle Richtungen auf das Stadtgebiet und Umland. Oben am höchsten Punkt gibt es eine Metallplattform, auf die man über Treppen gelangt. Der Aufstieg nach oben ist unbefestigt auf normalem Waldboden durch einen sich nach oben schlängelnden Pfad gesäumt von Brombeersträuchern und Bäumen und teilweise mit Stufen aus Holz. Man kann mit normalem Schuhwerk nach oben gehen; zwischendrin gibt es immer mal wieder Bänke als Sitzgelegenheiten und vereinzelt auch Mülleimer. Der Aufstieg dauert ca. 15min, wenn man den rechten, anfangs steileren Aufstieg wählt.
