I had a terrible experience staying at this hotel.
To start, the internet/wi-fi was bad but that wasn’t the biggest problem.
The air conditioning (AC) in my room wasn’t working. As there’s no telephone/intercom to the reception, then I needed to queue at the reception to report it. I had to wait for a while because the people in front of me were complaining about having booked the hotel but somehow no room was available (they ended up being transferred to another hotel).
Finally, the receptionist instructed me to find the electricity switch box in my room. He told me to turn off one of the switches then turn the AC back on and wait for 15 minutes. Didn’t work. Even tried multiple times. Had to sleep with the window open and it was noisy as the location’s near a highway.
The AC problem happened in the evening so there was no maintenance staff and the receptionist just told me to inform the next receptionist who would be working on the morning shift. So I did, I asked the morning receptionist to take care of it while I was away to travel for the day. When I came back at 5pm, I honestly wasn’t surprised to find that the AC was still not working. So I complained to another receptionist working on the afternoon shift and he asked to wait. He kept on prioritizing new guests checking in and I had to wait for 2 HOURS to get a new room! When I finally got my new room card, I was shocked to find other people’s stuff inside. Yeah, THE ROOM WAS OCCUPIED. I’m not sure if anyone was inside because when I saw the luggage u0026 clothes I immediately shut the door and didn’t clearly see the bed.
So I went back to the reception. Thankfully this time it didn’t take too long to get a new room card and I entered another new room (with nobody inside this time, lucky me, right?).
Something is definitely wrong with the management of this hotel.
Firstly, I noticed that the receptionist literally handles everything alone, even helping me to fully open the room window (normally the window in this hotel can’t be fully opened by guests). So maybe this poor service is due to a lack of staff. They were doing their best but they were overloaded. Secondly, there must be something wrong with the hotel’s database, resulting in the rooms being overbooked (other guests’ experience) and me entering an occupied room. Thirdly, I realized that complaints about AC u0026 internet had been brought up by previous guests in Google Review since 5 years ago, yet it still happens.
Would NEVER EVER recommend this hotel to anyone and definitely would not stay here again.
