The building is named after Prinz Carl, the brother of the future King Ludwig I of Bavaria, hence it's name. Designed by the architect Karl von Fischer, it's built in a early neo-classical style, it's now used as the official the Bavarian Prime Ministers in 1924 not not open to the public
Just in front of the palace on the forecourt is the Prince Carl Palais Fountain. Overall, not worth the effort to see this building or the fountain.
