Great location especially at a sunny summer day. Big terrasse next to the English Garden. Nice snacks, great people… simply relax and enjoy.

Interesting cocktail menu on the more expensive side. The bar room has bad acoustics, so it tends to get quite noisy in there. Overall, it wasn't awful but it wasn't great either, wouldn't get out of my way to go there.

Amazing decor / historic place. Great service, great music and ambience. Average cocktails and beers not tap. Get a wine instead

Great outdoor seating! Nice drink menu along with some cool entrees I'd you're hungry. After biking, it was a great place to freshen up with some hausgemachte ice tea and nibble on some sardines on bread with lemon. The service was very nice too!

Unique place with history and lots of interesting characters around. The staff is amazing!
We'll be back for sure ☺️❣️

It's ok but feels groomed. No exterior outside, just the cheapest tables and banks. Because of location the bar is always full so the owners don't care about investing minimum money to make it more attractive. Drinks/cocktails are good, the stuff is friendly and supportive. I'm never coming there intentionally, always by chance. Since years there are no positive changes. So, cannot recommend it to friends or visitors.

I was super excited to check out Die Goldene Bar after seeing photos online, the design looks superb. Unfortunately, the overall ambiance is not what I hoped for. While the space itself is absolutely stunning with the golden walls, nice bar and the large distressed wood communal table, the rest of the tables and dining chairs cheapen the look of the venue. The table tops were veneered and the dining chairs upholstered in black synthetic leather with chrome legs, absolutely did not match the interior architecture or do justice to this unique setting.

We went for a daytime drink and they were not serving cocktails other than long drinks since their mixologist doesn't work during the day. Again, a bit of a shame since they are a cocktail bar that is open during daytime so I would expect to be able to order a cocktail! There was no music and the place simply lacked ambiance, which was such a disappointment given that the space itself is beautiful and the location is right behind the Brandhorst Museum in a gorgeous heritage building. I ended up ordering a Moscow Mule, which was not bad but nothing to be excited about, so I’m not sure if I would necessarily rush back.
