One of the many statues scattered around Viktualienmarkt. They are in between the stalls and buildings in the market. It was quite an interesting looking fountain with what looks like someone on a fish hook.

There are a handful of small and interesting water fountains in Viktualienmarkt including the Karl Valentin Brunnen near the south end of the market.

This is an interesting composition designed by Ernst Andreas Rauch in 1953. Here you see a bronze figure of a gentleman in suit and hat. His right arm is bent with right hand near his chest while his left hand hangs. There were flowers placed in bend of his right arm and in his left hand, giving colour to the fountain sculpture.

The figure of Ernst Andreas Rauch stands upon a large fish hook shaped bronze from which three small faces (spouts) are placed. Water spouts from the three faces filling the small well below.

Of the various fountains at Viktualienmarkt, this is the one that I found most interesting. Have a quick look while you are browsing the market. Then continue onward with other intended sightseeing.
