This place is one of my favorites in this area. I've been coming here for years. If you stay for a few nights you definitely will love it I'm sure!

Don't understand why this is rated under 4 stars. It's a proper 5 star worthy place. Great comfy rooms and beds. Only downside is you need to pay 2€ to use a towel. Else superb place.

Beds are extremely noisy, couldn't sleep the entire night because the guy above me kept moving.

Deposit of 10 euros with actual cost being 2 euros is kinda sketchy.

The atmosphere for a hostel isn't great either and it's more setup as a hotel than hostel. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a social vibe or someone that wants a comfortable night of sleep.

Pretty close to Munich Central Station, only 2-3 minutes to walk there.
The rooms were also great, except one thing, namely the sounds of the beds. They were annoying and came up everytime one moved a little bit in the bed.

The breakfast was really good for the price. You get a decent variety of food on a buffet. And a surplus is the happy hour from 5-8pm, in which you could get a Maß of beer (1 Liter) for just 5€ in the lobby.

Can't give too much positive feedback about this place.

I booked a room for 3 nights with 4 beds for 18-35 year olds, and over my stay 2 separate men much older than 35 stayed in our room.

The bed I was in was very uncomfortable and the wifi kept dropping in and out during the night. Breakfast was very average. Positive thought is the great location it was in, close to everything in the city.

I was booking a single room for 2 nights, 6 days in advance of my intended stay. It was about 8 hours later that I noticed that I had booked the wrong dates and although the room was not refundable, I contacted the hostel via booking.com to ask for an exceptional refund or a change of dates. I believe that they could've given that room away for an even higher price in the end, but neither the receptionist on the phone nor their backoffice via booking.com were interested in finding a solution for me. And why would they, they've already charged my credit card with 160 euros. it would've been easier to get a flight refunded within 24 hours after booking. very disappointing.

Jaegers Hostel has a great location, very close to Munich Central, just 250 mtrs along one of the side streets off Bayernstrasse. Most of old town is walkable.

The double rooms are rather small, with barely space for 2 people but do have a WC and shower, albeit with a translucent sliding door.

Overall very clean and neat, the hostel staff are pretty nice and helpful.

They have lockers to store baggage in case you arrive early or leaving well after check out.

Saw a few families with children too.
They serve a 'to be paid for break fast'. They also have a bar which opens in the evening

Having your own meals is a little bit difficult as they just have a kettle and a microwave. Though some crockery is available, you end up asking the reception staff for everything, which is especially difficult between 8 am to 9am every morning when they are busy with the guests eating paid breakfast.

Overall I think it was a reasonable bargain for an expensive town given the hostels location and cleanliness.
