Hotel ok, but not that great. Room was small, but that was ok. Breakfast was tasty, but after a couple of days I wanted a bit more variation. Most days they didn't even have fruit salad. The bacon/similar was tasty, though, and scrambled eggs decent. Croissants were ok, but nothing to write home about.
Very good location. 10mins walk to Odeonsplatz and just a few minutes to many restaurants/pubs/bars. Very good.
Bathroom was nice. Shower head was a bit loose and door doesn't close very well—it's mounted in slightly the wrong place. Both things a bit annoying, but not hugely.
Bed was reasonably comfortable, as was the duvet, but the pillows were very bad. One was uncomfortable and the other enormous—square-shaped, double the area of a normal pillow. Just a decent-quality, normal pillow would be better.
No tea/coffee-making facilities in the room and no fridge. Chair had some weird cover on it making it awkward to sit on. Overall, rather dated. TV looked like it's from 2005.
Unfortunately, the main issue was the ventilation. It was pretty warm a few days inwas there, but the temperature dropped in the evenings. The room didn't drop much, though. It was pretty warm and stuffy, even with the window wide open. I had to sleep with a damp towel over me, instead of the duvet, to be cool enough. There was a fan, but it was super noisy. Last two nights were ok as it hadn't been warm during the day.
To be honest, 4*s feels generous given the datedness of the room and, primarily, the lack of sleep. But, it was ok on the last fay's, so 3*s feels too low. If you, like me, struggle with the heat, you should avoid, though.
