I'll start with the positives:
The hotel staff is very helpful and kind. Breakfast was tasty with a nice variety of items. The hotel is in a great location.
On the downside:
Few parking spaces. The room was small and the bed quite narrow (not much space for two). The soundproofing of the room was poor.

The hotel was ok. Rooms
Are small even the double room I paid for was with a double bed yet it was two single mattresses together.
Bathroom renovated good water pressure. The room outdated with wooden floors and wooden furniture that creates a disturbance when others move it around the rooms.
Tv small outdated with over 300 channels yet only two channels were in English and they were CNN and some other news program.
Staff friendly but offered no outside knowledge of attractions and transportation.
Breakfast was good. Requested late check out for 4 days we stayed but managed to get 1230 check out.
No coffee or tea making facilities in the rooms no kettle etc
Bar fridge had two bottles of water at 1.80 euro each.
Paid 455 euros for 3 nights which in comparison with other hotels was expensive
Hotel located a 10 min walk to Odeonplatz station.

Hotel ok, but not that great. Room was small, but that was ok. Breakfast was tasty, but after a couple of days I wanted a bit more variation. Most days they didn't even have fruit salad. The bacon/similar was tasty, though, and scrambled eggs decent. Croissants were ok, but nothing to write home about.

Very good location. 10mins walk to Odeonsplatz and just a few minutes to many restaurants/pubs/bars. Very good.

Bathroom was nice. Shower head was a bit loose and door doesn't close very well—it's mounted in slightly the wrong place. Both things a bit annoying, but not hugely.

Bed was reasonably comfortable, as was the duvet, but the pillows were very bad. One was uncomfortable and the other enormous—square-shaped, double the area of a normal pillow. Just a decent-quality, normal pillow would be better.

No tea/coffee-making facilities in the room and no fridge. Chair had some weird cover on it making it awkward to sit on. Overall, rather dated. TV looked like it's from 2005.

Unfortunately, the main issue was the ventilation. It was pretty warm a few days inwas there, but the temperature dropped in the evenings. The room didn't drop much, though. It was pretty warm and stuffy, even with the window wide open. I had to sleep with a damp towel over me, instead of the duvet, to be cool enough. There was a fan, but it was super noisy. Last two nights were ok as it hadn't been warm during the day.

To be honest, 4*s feels generous given the datedness of the room and, primarily, the lack of sleep. But, it was ok on the last fay's, so 3*s feels too low. If you, like me, struggle with the heat, you should avoid, though.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was big enough with a modern bathroom. The breakfast was good and staff were also nice.

Nice hotel just outside the old town, 10 minutes by feet from Marienplaz. It's well connected with the P+R Fröttmaning since it's near the U6 Odeonplatz metro station. The room was comfortable and we appreciated the acoustic isolation of the windows. The bathroom was really clean and it seemed quite new. The breakfast was great, with a great variety of fresh food available.
Around the hotel there are a lot of different kinds of restaurants to get dinner.

The room was ok and the breakfast was good. It's a shame that we couldn't stay here two more nights because the check in hours are very strict and we would have had to arrive in the afternoon from Austria because there's no one at night in the front desk. Hope this changes.

I stayed at Hotel Antares with my wife and daughter for eight nights in March 2018, and I am really glad that we chose this hotel. The room itself was fairly cramped, which is what I'm told is typical for a European hotel, but it was clean and otherwise comfortable.

On the night we arrived, the desk clerk apologized for putting us in one of the not yet renovated rooms, and made a great effort to make sure we found the room acceptable - it was fine! The next day, we were moved to a renovated room, and it was even nicer. I observed that the rooms were very well soundproofed, and there was no noise from the street audible unless the windows were opened.

Speaking of the staff, everyone working there during the entire 8 days was as friendly and accommodating as could be. Really good people.

The hotel's breakfast buffet was outstanding in its variety and quality, with many fresh breads, pretzels and pastries, cheeses and cold cuts, fresh fruit, eggs, sausages, cereals, crepes, jams, etc. etc. etc.

The location would be hard to beat. It's located within easy walking distance from many of the city's main attractions, and is located in a pleasant, clean and safe neighborhood near the university. The neighborhood has many boutiques and art galleries, and quite a few excellent restaurants. Within a few blocks from the hotel, we dined at truly superb Italian and Indian restaurants, there's a great bakery on the corner, and around the corner is a traditional beer hall/restaurant popular with university students.

When we next visit Munich, I will definitely be booking a room at Hotel Antares again.
