Location is great, there is possibility to both sit indoor and outdoor, staffs are well-tempered and friendly, I’ve just been there once for drink but definitely vome back for having meal there.
Indoor is cosy and well-decorated.
The prices are costly but it seems that it is worth to try.
I’ll absolutely share my meal’s experience.

We came here without expectations and I was simply baffled. 55 euros for the menu, wine included?? With such food and wine quality, friendly service and quiet and cosy ambiance I felt welcome here.

I would definitely come back for any special occasion!!

This place has a timeless feel about it. This is not a cheap eat, but it is value for money. The food was tasty , nicely presented, and the portion size just right. The service was attentive. The wine choice is varied and reasonably price. It is conveniently placed near the Lehel Ubahn Station. I will find an excuse to be back soon.

I've been here 3 times in the past 3 years. Its a cozy atmosphere and conveniently located which is why I kept going despite the okay-ish service. However, when I went a week ago, it was worse than ever.

The waitress was rude and unhelpful, not to mention never pulled her mask over her nose. If the food had been amazing I could have overlooked all this, but my portion of tagliatelle was small and extremely salty. Definitely not worth the 25 euros.

Won't be going back.

We went for lunch there today. My partner and I had the risotto dish with seafood. Later, we both got stomach pain when we arrived home. We ordered espressos and a cake but, at the end, the waitress totally forgot this order. We got only the cake without the espressos. It was a bit annoying.

Overall, I am willing to come back to the restaurant again. And probably I got a bad day with that dish today.

I've dined at the Gandl twice now and both were excellent experiences.
Fantastic menu, divine sauces (loved the "foams"), light but filling cuisine, epic wine menu, lovely food presentation.
Portion-size-wise, I'd say going for a starter and a main if you're of average appetite is a safe bet.
Prices are appropriate for the quality of the food, but probably reason enough to save this restaurant for a more special occasion.
Recommended for a nice date or family occasion.

Extremely unfriendly staff. This is not Münchner Grantigkeit, this is simply impolite. Waitress wouldn't let me finish my question, misunderstood me twice and was rude in her answer. Living close by, this is a place worth skipping. 0/10
