Beautiful old hotel in a wonderful neighborhood near Mrianplatz but not too close. The room was nice with a good bed and lots of closet and storage space. The bathroom was small with no bathtub. The staff was exceptional bending over backwards to help in every way possible, explaining public transportation, pointing out markets apothecaries shopping etc. The location is perfect, it's in a nice quiet neighborhood where you can walk almost anywhere and very close to public transportation for everywhere else

Centrally located hotel in a beautiful old building. We had a room at the back with large balcony looking over the courtyard. The bed and shower were very good. Breakfast is served in the courtyard when the weather allows it. There is no buffet, you are served by a waiter. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The building is quite old and the rooms do not have an airconditioner, so they can get quite hot in the summer. Also, all rooms are different, so your experience may vary.

We didn't actually get to stay here but had major troubles with online booking. Tried booking several times online (official hotel website) and kept getting a message that one of the rooms I was trying to book was not available. I also didn't receive any confirmation email/notification from Opera Hotel so I assumed the booking did not go through. I went ahead and made a booking with another hotel (where we stayed). At the end of our stay in Munich (at the other hotel), we get an email from Opera Hotel telling us that they will be charging us for the rooms because we didn't show up! We never received any booking confirmation, and repeatedly received a message that one of the rooms was not available! Despite us responding to their email and explaining the challenges with their online booking system, they still charged us! Daylight robbery!

It looks like a nice hotel to stay at, but they definitely need to work on their online booking system, reservations confirmations and customer service (with regards to reservations).

Nice and cosy hotel, the people working there are really nice and helpful, they have a good and heavy breakfast and it's located quite near from shops, bars and restaurant but still in a quiet area.

I loved our stay here. Our room was small but I liked the decor and we were not going to live there permanently so that was fine. The location is fantastic for walks to Marienplatz, The Residenz, etc. Breakfast is served in the fashion one sees in period movies and that is just my thing! My only complaint was that I asked for hot water at each breakfast but never got a cup to drink it in so had to use my used coffee cup to drink the water. The staff are professional and friendly. There’s however not much to do in the hotel if one does not feel like going out (but then you are in the heart of Munich, why stay in?)

I love this hotel. The interior design is exceptional. The part of town is very quite even though it is close to the action. I can't stress enough how impressed I am with the genuine hospitality and kindness I encountered here.
