Nice little café hidden in the backyard behind the museum. Staff was friendly, service quick. Coffee and cakes were standard. It's a cosy location though with a patio. Prices are average.

We bought 2 ice lollies and asked if our disabled son could have a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. We were told “No that is just for ice-coffee”. We then offered to buy the coffee and the middle aged bald gentleman who was serving us said no again because. “Then everyone will see that and want the same.”
He then said something like “Regeln sind Regeln” (“Rules are rules”) and so we paid and left.
I ask myself what type of person begrudges a disabled kid a scoop of ice-cream when you offer to pay the price for the ice-coffee under the pretense that everyone will then want that.
This is the worst side of customer service that you occasionally find in Germany and I wouldn’t go back here if you paid me.

Nice place in the backyard of the museum, good coffee, very nice cake, but (there is always a but). They do not accept payments by card. Only cash. In 2021. During a pandemic. Only cash. And the response by the rude lady? Here is the sign. In a hidden place somewhere inside the store. Without any other warning either from the waiter or from the catalog.

Arrogant. Sit around talking while I wait to be served. Easy when there are endless tourists.

Apathetic service. Apparently they only have a certain number of servings and they run out. Don’t recommend
