Absolutely amazing food! Outside seating is covered and right next to a small, outdoor fountain with lots of trees which make for both a nice view as well as decent temperature due to the shade. Great beer, amazing and accommodating staff (especially for foreigners) — Augustiner Klosterwirt was the highlight of our visit to Munich! Don’t forget to leave space for dessert ;)

In my opinion this is the best traditional German cuisine place to visit.
I come here for Sunday breakfast and have the white sausages with a ???? or the small oven sausages are so delicious.
Great job! 5 ???? well deserved!

Fantastic food! The portions are huge and served hot and fresh from the kitchen. If I had more time in Munich I'd try a lot more of the menu!

Great dining atmosphere, I loved the lights and greenery. Got the Klosterwirt menu and it was delicious! The beer from the barrel was also good. It took a very long time for us to get our food though.

Food is amazing and the atmosphere is fantastic there. We ordered a platter for two with pork nuckle, sausages, and pork cutlets. There were all delicious. We also ordered the duck. Very flavorful. The price is great considering the portion we got.

Decent local Bavarian food. Sausages were good, fried pork was nice, and so were the side dishes.
The apple strudel was just OK.
Service was great - very welcoming and knowledgeable.

If you are new to Germany, I definitely recommend you to try their Pork knuckle because the pork skin was crunchy while the meat was tender, juicy with some fat attached. If you ate them together, you would enjoy it a lot. Regarding the customer service, I do agree some of previous reviewers about their inconsistency of hospitality. In my case, I was lucky and served by an excellent waiter. Unfortunately, I did not ask for his name. He did an amazing job and often went over to chat with me to see if everything was ok. However, when I wanted to pay my bill, a bad experience began. When I sought one of waiters/ waitresses for paying my bill (because the one who served with me was busy on serving others), they pointed me to a different person. I had been redirected two times already. I understood they (waiter/waitress) might have some rules that they were only in charged with their appointed area. However, they could at least pass on a message to the one who served me in relation to my request of bill since the waiter who served me was in and out. Based on my observation, internal communication is lacking. Thus, one start is removed from my rating to reflect the current management and its teamwork effort. Nevertheless, this one start reduction is not implied to the one who served me during my meal.
