An excellent Keller (Celler) near Rathaus Lübeck. The traditional ambiance has been well maintained along with an exhaustive beer and wine selection. Although, kitchen closes little early yet it leaves lot of time for enjoying beer and wine.

We went to the Ratskeller Lübeck for lunch on Saturday, it was a warm welcome and we were shown to the "Klookschietereck". A room full of history, just like the rest of the Ratskeller.
The two waitresses were very friendly and accommodating and answered all of our tourist questions.

When we got our food, we were amazed at the portion sizes. We thought we'd ordered the family portions. ???? There was the "Schweinerei" and the "Eisbein Berliner Art". After that we had to have a schnapps so that we could continue our visit to Lübeck. On recommendations, there was the homemade herbal liqueur ????

Should we come back to Lübeck and feel hungry, we would be happy to come back.

Nice and warm on a chilly autumn night, with quaint interior. Unfortunately we didn't get one of the glass-pane booths which looked so cosy, because we had the last table in the corner. The restaurant has a good menu with enough meat and fish options. My husband took the pork leg (turned out that it's boiled not baked, so be warned), and I went with the fish trio - all sorts of fish were tasty, also this dish comes with country style fried potatoes and a small side salad. The prices are Berlin-like, schnitzel around 18EUR, our choices were 20-something EUR each. Good place to have a long sit-down meal with a company.

A delightful restaurant with a traditional feel supported by very friendly staff who take care
To look after you very well. The food was delicious with a choice of traditional and modern. We had the traditional Grunkohl with fried potato. It was exceptional. Highly recommend this venue.

Ignore reviews saying staff aren't friendly, they are, they're lovely. This is a proper German Ratskeller, the décor u0026 absolutely everything about this place just shrieks German u0026 Germany, it's brilliant.

We came to visit Lübeck and went to the Holstentor and the Marzipan Museum. We got hungry and happened to walk by the Ratskeller. We had our dog with us and luckily they welcomed us. They even served water and little treats for the dog. The food was delicious and the the Service was great! A definite "must go!"

Perfect for dinner or lunch I guess. Much food on the plate so be careful or you might get a half pig (almost). Services is good and got food fast as expected
