Booked a double room for the weekend over the hotel webpage. The location is great for exploring the city with many restaurants, cafes and shops around. The check-in was smooth and easy. The room was really nice, with wooden floor and clean design bathroom with glass and black stone tiles.
Now to the basic needs: comfy bed, hot water and wifi. All exceptional except the Internet connection. The token system reminds me of early 2000s: it takes time to sign up, it breaks occasionally, it expires and at the end you end up having no connection at all.
The other only negative experience was at check-out where I was politely asked to pay the city tax. Sure, no problem sir. Please, make sure to reveal the city tax during the booking process. Unless there's a way not to pay it, you must explicitly state it (I actually went back and try to book a new room online just to see if the hotel mentions any city tax, it doesn't).
I liked the place and if I happen to be in Leipzig once again, I'll go back provided the hotel fixes the Internet and reveal all cost of stay.
