Beautiful butterflies and exotic tropical plants in the glass house as well as some interesting cacti and succulents. Also had some cool plants for sale if only I'd not been flying so couldn't bring any home.

Maybe a little expensive at €5 since quite small area but I guess you don't get a lot for €5 these days.

pretty big collection of various plants from all continents. the whole outdoor area is free for visiting, indoor orangerie with tropical species are available for fee

This was supposed to be a very short visit to the Botanical Garden in Leipzig. Eventually it turned out to be quite a long one cause as soon as I got inside the Butterflies Room I was simply amazed and I barely contained my excitement.

I'd like to say I'm sorry that I don't have any flowers or plants pictures here but the things that caught my attention were the butterflies.

Both me and my friend were looking from one side to the other hoping to get a beautiful shot.

Now I'd like to add here: visiting the Botanical Garden is free. Visiting the butterflies room will require you to buy a ticket (this can be done right there).

The hothouse where the butterflies are is quite small, and quite warm (especially since we visited on a summer day) but you can see the butterflies up close. I kind of expected more variety, but anyway, you do get to see some beautiful creatures.

Very beautiful and well organized botanical garden. The only problem was that all information is in german.

Not too bad for free. My only gripe was that you couldn't pay by card to get in the Butterfly House ????

Nice place, main garden free entrance but glasshouse costs 4,00 - unfortunately the space u r allowed in is very limited, which compromises a bit the whole experience
