great! Very nice Museum, big recommendation!
Only if you do not now German you will not be able to understand some of the long texts.

Lovely. Certainly a nice place to spend a rainy day. Not so many visitors (at least during the week), so you can really take your time exploring the rooms. The route is perfectly organized, so that you don't miss anything. Really interesting items and informative descriptions. And yeah, the skeletons are impressive! The Deep Sea collection as a nice bonus. All in all, definitely worth a visit!

Well spent 8 Euros!
The kids loved it… when we eventually got in…

The main issue was to pay! They did not take ApplePay or GPay, nor did they take card payments. Must be the last “cash only” place in Europe?

After a 1 km extra tour, to the closest ATM and back, we had ????. On our return we got information about the second obstacle: Covid-test. Vacation-certificate was ok, but the documentation from the Norwegian Institute of public Health (for the kids), they had not seen before… ???? But after a closer look, and a internal discussion, it was accepted. ????????

Finally in, we got to see lots of exciting stuff. ????
The clear favorite was: The skeleton whales ???? ????

Nice to know:
They had closets where we could store our jackets.
We spent around 1 hour at the site.
The toilets was clean.

Fun museum. They are currently renovating, so you can't see everything, but they generously cut the admission cost in half as well. They still had a lot of beautiful specimens on display.

The museum is not crowded so if you really want to spend some time to know about zoology you can do that with extreme silence. It has a great collection of fish fossil (skeletons) of ????, dolphin and very many other fishes. For children above 5 years it will be more interesting.
