If you plan to eat here, please book in advance! A VERY popular spot on a nice day and everyone in Kiel seems to know to book ahead. All reservations will be put ahead of you, even if you are waiting at the door and see tables free. We waited for quite some time before being seated and were only seated after checking in with pretty rude, nonchalant staff at least 3 times. We nearly walked away. But once seated, staff were generally attentive and friendly. Drinks were served quickly. Meals were slow - but they were also very busy. So don't eat here if you are under time pressure. Perfect place to sit 'ON' the ocean, enjoy the sunshine, view and a nice meal and a few drinks with friends. A better system is needed for people without reservations, who are willing to wait at your door for a table.

Unfriendly (overworked??) staff, place was completely packed which resulted in the two of us (we had booked days in advance) sitting at a full table with five other guests so no privacy for all of us (awkward!). Table were messy, it was hot and sticky because of the tents they placed over the (once beautiful) outdoor area. I've been there before but the business model has changed so much (a money-making factory with no love for food or customers) that I will not be coming back.
Needless to say, we left and had a wonderful evening someplace else.

Very unsyphathetic, mediocre food and items on the bill appearing, while not ordered. When addressing, customer satisfaction was not important and friendliness turned to hostility. Do not go here, how tempting the location may seem.

Great location. Able to get a talk without booking, which was perfect. Great food, beer and service.

Nice location, unfortunately our experience was nog what we expected!
We reservated a tabel, when we arrived our tabel was allready taken. When we asked at the waiter to clear our table he suggested to arrange this ourselves with the customers.
Fortunately the lady behind the bar (Negin) arranged it for us, she took the responsibility over from the waiter. Wow, what a leadership she has! @manager: please give that lady some more resposibility, you won’t regret it for shure!
After waiting 20min still no waiter to order our food, again another lady behind the bar (Kaja) took over and came to our resque to take our order! @manager: same question as for this lady, give her some more resposibility! You have good staff, only at the wrong place. Please give the two male waiters a washing up duty because they are not able to function elsewhere!
To end with a positive note, the food whas good and arrived quickly.

Food was ok, portions were average to small. Service was snippy. A little expensive, but you pay for the view.

I found here the worst food I've ever eaten! And the wine was disgusting, and they bought the fries from supermarket and just heat it up many times until the flavor disappeared. I don't recommend it
