Is beautiful because everything is like in 70's.Is in very good shape and the rooms are clean and spacious.Bath tub instead showers .Big point for having balconies.Parking is free and accesibile, sea is near by, a lot of places around(10 min walk) to eat or to grab a drink.
People ar reception are friendly and helpful.
I would return anytime in this hotel

1960s style luxury hotel, I expected to see Sean Connery in the bar. Leather, dark wood and marble everywhere. Great location in an “old money” suburb just north of Kiel with nice view of the Kieler bay. The crew is doing their best, but some seems new to the hospitality business.

Don’t stay here. Dirty, poorly maintained u0026 rude, unhelpful staff ……

Both times we have been here it has been excruciatingly painful to say the least. The first time we had the so-called presidential suite and another room for the kids. The presidential suite had a door that didn’t fit properly, dirty windows, filthy cushions on the couches. Old-fashioned furniture that has been badly beaten up and they are charging a premium price for the rooms.

With the five of us we had quite a bit of luggage and my wife asked for assistance. Eventually somebody from the bar (refused to give his name but someone at reception said he was from the UAE) ambled up to my wife and said “you want some assistance with a luggage?“. Yes replied my wife. He then looked at her and said “we don’t do that here“ and walked off leaving her to struggle with three small children and a number of large suitcases. Absolutely appalling is the only way it can be described. Just simple good manners would dictate that somebody would help a woman with three children and luggage up some steep stairs and into the lift. Just not too difficult thing to do for a young man…. Surely?
Soviet era at a premium price ……

The bathroom is dirty and smelt of mould.

The second visit was no better. We would not have stayed here if it hadn’t already been pre-booked and paid. They managed to completely get the booking wrong and then refused to even try and sort it out in order to make our visit more comfortable. Instead, we end up with a tense and very unhappy situation exacerbated by the extraordinarily rude staff at reception who would not listen to our requests.

Strongly recommend you stay away from this place.

Please provide Covid test locations somewhere on your website. The sheet of locations provided by reception should also be available online to attract people to your hotel prior to a cruise and make our lives less stressful when arriving in Kiel from another country.

Dinner buffet was very good.

A nice place to stay in Kiel for the weekend with the pool and spa making it much more worthwhile.

It is walking distance to the waterfront and many restaurants but I would advise having a car or at least a bike/scooter to make the most of this location.

The hotel's pool is quite shallow and the sauna is quite small but if you get there early then you can have a good time in there. It does make a big difference and I was also happy to have a good sized bath in the room as well.

It was disappointing, especially considering that the hotel was nowhere near full/busy, that we were given a room which did not overlook the water.

The hotel is quite old and first-impressions were that it would be a wonderful setting for a haunting. Though some of the hotel seems 'aged' it is still nice and well-maintained. Be aware that due to the age the rooms can get very cold so make sure you find the thermostat when you first get in. It would be a good step for the hotel to ensure the room is warm upon arrival.

The food for breakfast was well-produced with a great range of things to eat including good breads but I was very disappointed that with almost two hours of breakfast remaining, they ran out of pancakes with no intention of topping them up.

The staff (generally) were very pleasant and helpful especially the room-service and check-in/out staff that we dealt with.

I can recommend this place and advise you to book on their website as it was significantly cheaper than the other booking websites we looked at.

Must say they got the best location, breakfast was great. Not tried lunch or Dinner. Less people may be season not started yet. Otherwise Sea view rooms are highly recommended.

For people with difficulty in climbing stairs the hotel should install elevators:
- from the parking area to the lobby/reception
- from the lobby/reception to the restaurant
- from the parking garage to the lobby/reception

Also advisible is installing airconditioning in the rooms
