Exquisite food, very friendly staff, they went above and beyond for us to have a wonderful work party. Highly recommended!

I honestly liked most everything, it's an old institution, or at least building, but it was renovated so that bathrooms are top modern and well planned and made. Room furniture is a la antique mix with some international modern style, but due to pleasant colour scheme it was nicely put together, and although not all furniture are in top state, it makes a good match and atmosphere. Everything fitted perfectly, so there was good planning here too. Bed was comfortable, all facilities were there. Specially room 206 has no view (looking at a wall) but it is pretty quite, which was important for me and they provided.
Although I liked the hotel room and the breakfast, I find the price of the room was sufficient to include the breakfast, the additional price of breakfast made the total a bit over the adequate price, to my experience.
Another thing would be that the twin beds would be attached to each other, and only if asked for - separated.
Very happy we booked a table at the restaurant for dinner too, dinner was excellent- we took the summer menu that had light dishes, beautifully made and amazing sorbet ice cream.
Only thing that was annoying was that at the beginning they offer a "surprise drink" which was a nice simple gin syrup glass. The real surprise was the price of it on the bill: if you are charging for a drink like this 50% more than it would cost at any serious bar, advise the guest in advance about this surprise factor, would be my tip.

We had a really nice dinner at weißer Bock during our trip to Heidelberg.

In our opinion, the interior and flair is even better than on the pictures. It perfectly fits to the cuisine and the city.

The music in the background did also fit perfectly and was turned off later the evening when there have been a lot of people, which is great as it is easier to talk with each other.

When arriving, the service warmly welcomed us and showed the way to our table. The staff have been friendly all the time and gave excellent recommendations.

We decided to have a Salat and two oysters as starters, the tomahawk steak to share for the main and creme brulé and white chocolate mouse as desert. Each dish was good, however, the only downside in our opinion have been the sides which came with the main dish. The smashed pumpkin puree was too sweet, the other puree with truffles had a too strong taste and the coleslaw had no taste. Still, we liked the food.

The price - quality ratio is good as well.

Overall we really enjoyed our dinner at weißer Bock and can recommend it to anyone who comes to Heidelberg.

Genuine old style German interior. High quality of the basic ingredients combined to a new taste which is not too fancy or - unfortunately like in many places nowadays - flooded with too many different tastes (You know, avocado with guacamole and aloe vera combined with the milk of native goats from the Andes which were milked on the first full moon of the ancient Maya calenders, bla, bla, bla bla, bla bla). For us, looking for the genuine and natural taste of the food, we enjoyed it a lot. Good service as well.

Absolutely perfect! The hotel was amazing, soft beds, good shower, very nice breakfast and in the room all the stuff you needed! The staff was very friendly and did everything possible to make you feel pampered and at home. The food in the restaurant was so good, really worth trying!
Would defenitly recommend to everyone visiting Heidelberg!

The food was absolutely delicious. Everything. The service was very good, they did not hover but were always there to help or bring something. All courses were timed perfectly. No rushing, not too much time between courses. Honestly, I don't believe you can go wrong with this menu as everything was so good. It really changed my (shallow) preconceptions about German cuisine.

Though the food would warrant 5 stars, a dining experience of this kind should be reflected in the total experience, including service. It started out promising, but after the restaurant filled up, staff attention was minimalized and when there finally was contact, it was hasty. There never was a dessert inquiry after the main course which made us decide to ask for the bill. This was a lengthy process as well. So, if service would have followed through, I would have rated 5 stars. Pity. My wife and I went here for her birthday dinner on a Saturday night, while on vacation.
