I ordered the Weiße Schokolade flüssig, which was the best hot chocolate I've ever tried. I am a big fan of white chocolate, and its sweetness was great :) Their brownies, cookies, and cakes all looked fabulous though I didn't order them. Definitely coming here again to try other menus!

This Café is located in the heart of Heidelberg's old town. Shmeltzpunkt is situated almost at half the distance Between Bismarck Square and City Hall Square, along the Main Street (Haupt Strasse) that runs through the old town. It is modernly designed. The staff are very nice. Prices are average. You can take a break from your walk or shopping here. Take a snack or sip on your drink while watching the people go by in this very popular street. Sitting outdoor or indoor, you will have the same experience as the café boasts all-window façade.

Delicious beverages and desserts. I ordered the traditional waffle with chocolate sauce and nuts and a hot chocolate. Both were good, but the hot chocolate is amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable. Right in town close to all the shops and sites.

Nice icecream, they got christmassy flavors (apple cinnamon is the one i tasted so far). They also serve good fresh waffles with different toppings. Their hot chocolate is good but the cups are too tiny for the price.

Best freshly made melt-in-your-mouth waffles. If you need the ice cream, order it on the side, because the unadulterated plain waffle is too good to be contaminated with any other goodness.

UPDATE 19.02.2022: BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! Asked for my beloved chocolate cake and got one of the most dry and uninteresting cakes of my life. It is now full of decorations and a ball of chantily. The recipe changed or they just did not had it anymore. They told to ask for "schoko karamell torte". Will give one last try. Down from 5 to 4 stars for now.

The chocolate cake was top 10 of my life and my wife loved the coffee as well. Professional, fast and friendly service. I will DEFINITELY visit again.

Best ice cream in Heidelberg! Friendly staff and good service. They offer a huge variety along with Belgian waffles. Anyone craving for waffle, I recommend this place. They also have wide variety of Sundaes as well. Since this is right in the center of Altstadt, its mostly crowded and then you ending up waiting too long. My favorite is 'Heidelberg Brownie fudge' !
