Pretty freaking good place. Prices are what you expect nowadays. 14-20 euro per meal. Actually not bad for Heidelberg. But to schnitzel are so delicious. I was really surprised. Very fresh. Juicy. Crispy. Dessert is just ok. I wouldn't have it again. The garlic bread was good. You get 5 pieces for 6 Euro. Place is small. Make sure you reserve on time.

Authentic German cuisine, friendly and helpful staff, and fantastic food. They have communal tables and it works surprisingly well. Shared a table with a Japanese couple when I was there. Food service is quick, the beer is tasty and prices are reasonable. One thing, they give you 1hr to finish your meal once it's served due to high seating demand.

Perfect place to eat a satisfactory German dish. Quite an authentic place, reservation is necessary. You can taste good region wines. We ate two times in 4-days trip. Worth to eat at least once...

A delicious meal with the perfect wine. The customer service was very warm and amazing. I was alone and did not have a reservation. I had just a little over an hour to eat which was plenty of time. I recommend that if you’re going alone then go during non-peak hours. If you plan on going during peak hours then I suggest you make a reservation. I ordered schnitzel, potatoes, and with medium dry Riesling. The decor is VERY German and beautiful.

We can recommend that local restaurant to the fullest. What a delicious "Schnitzel" we enjoyed and also a very friendly service. We had been lucky to get a seat outside. After out arrival at 3 pm within minutes no seat had been available anymore and people were waiting on the street to get a table. We shall visit "Schnitzelbank" again.

An amazing find just off the main shopping street. The restaurant was full when we arrived and we thought we would have to look for somewhere else, however the two male staff quickly found us a table inside. We ordered the onion soup and garlic bread. Both were delicious. I had the sausages for main and my wife had the turkey schnitzel with creamed cabbage. Amazing! However our eyes were bigger than our bellies, meaning we couldn't finish every delicious mouthful. The Staff were fantastic and had a good laugh with me about my poor attempt to finish it all. What great value for money, drinks, starters and a main for 52 Euros.

Everything about this place was awesome! The two gentlemen working the main area were so accommodating and courteous! They even helped me learn some German words! The food was absolutely authentic and everything we could ask for! Danke shun! Howdy and bye from your Texas friends!
