This was a nice little surprise during our visit to the monasteries. Free to visit; I'm not sure if it is open 24/7 or not. There are several informational signs in German only explaining its history and significance (a 55m well built during medieval times to serve the monasteries), and it's only a short walk away from the Wanderparkplatz. Definitely make the quick stop if you're already in the vicinity.

Protected nicely, but no info on it for tourists. Of course you can use internet for it but it would have been more interesting if there was at least a couple of lines to know what you are looking at.
Has a fascinating look tho'

An interesting sight. A well dug in former times to serve the residents of the monasteries nearby. Impressive given the rocky nature of the terrain and the technology present st that time. I missed this landmark even though I have been in this area a number of times. A must see if you have the opportunity.
