The menu, especially the daily one on the chalkboard sounded amazing. Little did we realize that it's going to be the highlight of the evening.
My Mozzarella di Buffala with raw ham was an entire big mozza ball, uncut, sitting on my plate surrounded by rather thick slices of ham. Tasted fine, but no basil, no vegetables, and just the entire ball...weird, snd and way too much.
The tortellini with porcini stuffing and porcini sauce was extremely rich and the sauce was tasting, well rather out of a jar then freshley made.
My companion had pasta as well, and when asking for parmesan, she had to convince the waiter that, yes, she still wants it even though there is sea food in the pasts. Maybe the true Italian wouldn't do that, but who cares, just bring it, don't tell us how to eat our food please.
Waiter was friendly but slow, forgot the wine, didn't come asking for desserts.

I guess for a random place I would have reviewed less harshley, but given lots of raving reviews here In was expecting way more. Almost like if the chef was sick and a waiter whipped stuff together.

And indeed, the chef took pity on us and conjured up 2 margarita pizzas in 10 minutes while we were allowed to sit in the guest room. We were as happy as little children and, full of hunger and anticipation, opened the cardboard box on the little wall next door. What a stunning scent. This pizza was the pizza par excellence, thin, slightly thicker on the edge, blistered, slightly charred, thinly topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella and a few basil leaves. We had to eat the first piece right away and what can I say, for me the perfect pizza (which you really have to look for for a long time) soft, juicy and crispy at the same time and - the dough had taste. Hard to believe. Unfortunately, there is also something unpleasant. (No, not the price. In fact, we only paid 20 euros for these two masterpieces.) Unfortunately, I will never be able to eat pizza anywhere else now.
And next time I want to try the salmon ravioli and a glass of I don't know-any white wine. Then we reserve a table and get ready.

Letzten Freitach nach netflix und chill hatten wir Bock auf Pizza. Es war mittlerweile 22:10. Pizzeria um die Ecke dunkel, Inder zu, Dönerci schon zu Hause, sogar die Tanke hatte schon geschlossen. Die Zeit lief: 22:20. Blieb nur noch das Ai Portici. Das war noch offen und belebt mit zurechtgemachten Menschen in Sommerabendlaune. Im Gegensatz zu uns. Meine Haare waren verzottelt, die Maskara nicht mehr auf den Wimpern und mein Freund trug sein Lieblings-T-Shirt. Trotzdem schlappten wir in den Laden und mit der Gewissheit abgewiesen zu werden fragten wir, ob wir noch eine Pizza to go bekommen könnten. Der Kellner meinte wie befürchtet, die Küche mache gerade zu, aber er würde nochmal fragen. Und tatsächlich hatte der Koch Mitleid mit uns und zauberte, während wir im Gastraum Platz nehmen durften, in 10 Minuten 2 Margarita-Pizzen. Wir freuten uns wie die kleinen Kinder und öffneten voller Hunger und Vorfreude auf dem Mäuerchen nebenan die Pappschachtel. Was für ein atemberaubender Duft. Diese Pizza war die Pizza schlechthin, dünn, am Rand etwas dicker, blasig, bisschen angekokelt, dünn mit Tomatensauce, Mozzarella und ein paar Basilikumblättchen belegt. Wir mussten gleich das erste Stück essen und was soll ich sagen, für mich die perfekte Pizza (nach der man wirklich sehr lange suchen muss) weich saftig und knusprig zugleich und - der Teig hatte Geschmack. Kaum zu glauben. Es gibt aber leider auch was Unangenehmes. (Nein, nicht der Preis. Wir haben tatsächlich für diese beiden Meisterwerke nur 20,- Euro bezahlt.) Ich kann jetzt leider nie wieder woanders Pizza essen gehen.
Und nächstes Mal will ich die Ravioli mit Lachs probieren und dazu ein Glas keine-Ahnung-irgendeinen-Weißwein. Dann reservieren wir einen Tisch und machen uns zurecht.
