Great hotel with comfy rooms and great restaurants. The breakfast is amazing and the staff friendly. Location is also great as everything is pretty much in walking distance. Otherwise, public transit is super close.

One of the best hotels in Hamburg. Prices match offer - with an average of 220 Euro per night, what you see is what you get: Awesome location, cool rooms, amazing restaurant. Recommended. Plus you get to see the Stadthöfe from the inside. Staying in a historical location is always a fantastic experience. Walking distance from the Alster, Planten um Blomen, Hafen…

My favourite place to stay in Hamburg! I absolutely love the hotel, the beds are a dream, making it so hard to get up in the morning, however then you remember the sensational breakfast menu and you have a good reason to get dressed after all :) It is extremely conveniently located, if you feel like working out, you can get access to the neighbouring hipster gym, and if you want to grab some food or a drink, the hotel has a great bar + restaurant, but will also share fantastic recommendations of alternative places.

Our stay for 5 days at Tortue Hambourg was really nice. The hotel is gorgeous, with great room and the employees of the hotel were all incredibly nice. We really had a lovely time there.
The location is great, and you have a large choice of place to visit at walking distance.

I remove one star and would like to share some little constructive feedback. Please note these are minor in regards of our overall stay, but could move the experience from good to really great:
- the restaurant has a list of allergens, but no one in restaurants were able to tell us if the milk-based products were pasteurized. Please consider that you might host pregnant people and these are the type of information as important as allergen to have and share.
- Another downside for me (but I am conscious this is very personal though): Tortue Hambourg seems to be strong on their olfactory identity, from every one of their healthcare product. People with sensory sensibility might be indisposed by this. My sense of smell is more sensitive since my pregnancy, and the smell of their handwash, body lotion and shampoo made me physically sick unfortunately. If you are like me, you might want to bring your own products to avoid this inconvenience.

Other than these minor things, I would really recommend Tortue Hambourg!

Lovely place, lovely service and brunch is delicious. The only thing I find somewhat lacking is when it comes to the "logistical" aspect of taking the covid test downstairs then going back up for brunch and not being able to stay upstairs on the balcony for drinks and having to go back downstairs- it cuts the mood a bit. Nevertheless, if you just go downstairs for a drink o some lovely Asian food then it's all good.

We had early dinner at bar noire: very pleasant atmosphere. Really nice, courteous and helpful staff. And last but not least great food (my wife's tip is the beef tartar)
