I'm torn between 3 stars and 4 stars, but the kind waitress saved the night.
Great restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere. Sadly the ambient and menu don't harmonize.
After talking to the waitress (absolute sweetheart) she told us that it's all very new and they are still finding themselves. The menu is all over the place and I really hope they figure out what they want to serve and be known for. She told us it should be a steakhouse which I hope doesn't happen. The layout and ambience reminds of a white glove service. But whatever.
The kitchen still has some learning to do. Somehow the broccoli has burn marks (I don't mind, adds a great taste) but it's barely hot.
I told the waitress who apologised and took it back to the kitchen. She handled the situation very well but I find the kitchen should check over their plates before sending them out or at least try it. My chantralles (pfifferlinge) didn't taste like anything which was a real shame but the whole dish was good.
Great experience and hope to visit Hamburg again. When the day comes I'll definitely have another go at the restaurant.
