Small and cosy bar with nice decoration. The menu has 10 dishes only and desserts, but thats fine (they are made with dedication????). Only bad thing is that the fumes from the kitchen invade the whole restaurant and create a bad smell. They should install an extractor.

This is cafe/restaurant. we stopped by for a coffee. Cosy space with great service. A little pricey though. They serve water next to coffee which is rare in Hamburg. We will revisit for some food next time.

The food is average to poor. The house made pasta felt like - well out of the can and not cooked long enough. The service was slow and uninspiring.

Cafe Gitane is an unexpected treat. I was looking for somewhere quick and easy to eat but instead I found somewhere that is passionate about great food. The owner recommended a pasta dish that was far from simple - a delicious combination of home made tagliolini and fresh italian sausage. The meal was sublime and had the authentic taste of Italy. He also recommended a merlot that complemented the dish perfectly, Thank you.

Delicious food served with care and enthusiasm in a great atmosphere. What more could anybody want?

The place is small and cozy. On top of it, great food and unique decors with a splendid atmosphere!
