Easily the best meal I had in Hamburg. Hard to catch them open, but worth every attempt made. Reservations highly recommended, and probably essential for groups of 3 or more. Great service, great food, seriously cannot recommend this place high enough.

We enjoyed the dinner very much, especially the at first sight simpler things, which were revealed as a culinary masterpiece.

The highlight of our first trip to Hamburg. A massive shout out to Lea who looked after us. Not often you meet a passionate person like her. She was attentive and very hospitable from the start til the end of our dinner. I’m sure she has an amazing smile behind the mask :) My partner and I enjoyed the Veal Schnitzel u0026 Beef Cheek paired by the Austrian wine recommended by Lea. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ for the food but ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ for the overall experience.

The fantastic staff managed to squeeze us in, even though we did not have a reservation. We recommend making a reservation first.
Cosy little restaurant serving local cuisine. Menu notes explain the theatre connection of the restaurant. Food was fantastic. If you are not from Germany, be aware that the bottles of water on the table when you sit down, are not free.
But, friendly staff and great food, reasonable prices.

Really good on flavors. Good dishes and athmosphere.
But: the tartar-meat was too refrigerator-cold. Which effected the consistence of the diced meat.
They did not inform of dishes on the menu that were not available that day - which is annoying when you have made up your mind and are ready to order.

Amazing German Restaurant - reservations are a must, we made one nearly 1 week in advance over the busy Christmas season and we weren’t disappointed.

Small place - yet cozy and homely food. You can tell the staff have passion for food and passion to make your meal an experience.

Only feedback we had was the pumpkin bits served with the molten chocolate cake.

Must go...Great service. Our server was Janec (sp). Food was exceptional. We had the Wiener Schnitzel and the Hamburg Pannfisch. Sooo good. Our Appetizer was the mix yourself Beef Tartare..oh almost forgot to mention their private label beer. No question when we visit Hamburg again Das Dorf will be on our dining itinerary.
