I'm very thankful to the Klinikum for all the excellent medical care and support the doctors and staff have provided our baby daughter over the past months. Waiting times have sometimes been frustrating but I appreciate that they have always done their best to prioritise according to need. Vielen Dank!

Unfortunately not very good experience!

Went twice to the Emergency Department to get a cut in my hand checked, total waiting hours within two days: 6.5 hours.

Clearly not enough employees to handle emergency situations.

In the end the doctor was not capable of speaking German to an extended of making a conversation convenient and helpful.

If possible, avoid going there and search for more convenient options.

I am writing this being admitted right at this moment in Klinikum FN/General Surgery( Allgemeneines Chirugy). My surgery was performed on the date as planned and I was expecting a good post operative care which I haven’t had till this time. I had a severe internal bleeding after 2 days from operation and I had explained and showed to the station nurse atleast 5-6 times and they were not taking it into serious until at the night when I got fainted the nurse was explaining me I need to drink more water and the fainting is because I drank less water and not because of the bleeding. After nearly 1 day, I had reported the bleeding they took me to do a detailed examination and it got clear that there was a cut artery on the area of operation from where it was bleeding.. I hoped to recover soon.. But strangely, my HB in blood on the day of operation became low as 8.3 ( I believe it’s because of heavy bleeding during the long waiting time after I reported bleeding)then in the next day they told me it rised to 9.7 then there was no blood examination next day and the day after(today) surprisingly it went to 7.6 and the doctor told me they will recheck it in sometime and check why the HB level is going down..But then the check was again done late in the evening and I went to the stations zimmer to know the value and go to know it’s still low.. I asked them to give Iron Tablet which they may give from tomorrow.. It’s my 8th day at hospital today..and still not clear what they are going to do against my reduced HB because of operation..

My daughter put a small stone inside the nose. It was a Wednesday in the afternoon. We went to the ER and there was not a especialized doctor for that. The doctor said we should go home and wait until next day. She was Totally irresponsible as the stone could go the the lung and cause pulmonary embolism. We had to go to Ravensburg Hospital to see a otolaryngologist. I so not recommes this hospital, especially the doctors in the emergency room.

This is the closest hospital with an emergency out-of-patient clinic if you need urgent care like, for eg, if your doctor's clinic is closed or you need help on weekends. The basic charge is 50€ or more for tourists. For locals with a public health insurance card like AOK, it is free. The doctors and staff are friendly, helpful and competent. They could converse in English too.
The set back is the lack of a pharmacy at the hospital which is a hindrance, as the patients have to travel afar to the closest pharmacy , the Waldhorn Apotheke, a distance away. For weekends, you need to ask the hospital which pharmacy is on duty.
A nice cafe sits at the entrance of the hospital.
For drivers, you have to park before the hospital and take a free shuttle service with a golf cart ( sits 4 passengers) to reach the hospital ground if you cannot walk a distance. Parking is €1. 20 per hour.

It tools approximately 2 hours waiting to see a doctor in emergency segment, it's better to go to other hospital if you are in emergency case. Also not sufficiently took care and then we needed to go to other hospital!! I don't know if somebody take care if problems solved or not!!!

It was an emergency, saturday night, kidney pain. Great service, fast and gentle. God bless them.
