I loved walking or biking from Friedrichshafen to the Hopker Cafe just to treat myself with a delicious piece of cake and a tea or a coffee. The terrace has a lovely ambiance and lots of flowers. The interior is stylish and the chocholate assortments a must try.

I absolutely LOVED it here. This is an excellent bakery with great choice of cakes and coffees, but they also have couple of savory dishes - mostly "flamkuchen" - which is a German name for a French twist on pizza. People usually come for the daily menu which is great value. Still this is not place for big dinner, but more for a brunch.

But the location is AMAZING. Pretty garden with a small lake in the center. Also quite a bit of details here and there. The location is a bit away from main roads so it's pretty quiet and calm - perfect to enjoy the sunshine with your brunch or cake or coffee.

Wholeheartedly recommended!

This Café is offering fantastic tasting ☕ coffee in takeaway mugs and their service is exceptionally friendly, whether you're ordering in advance via phone or you go there personally.

I'm sending all my Airbnb guests there for breakfast ????????????and they're all very happy with the varieties and the service.

Definitely five stars ???? ????????!

Very beautiful and cozy place, wonderful and tasty cakes, as well as creamy coffees. Worth more than one visit.

This place is amazing. their cakes and coffee is wonderful. Can be crowded sometimes, but sitting out in the garden is magical!!

The cutest cafe in Friedrichshafen with delicious food, slightly arrogant staff and a major bee/wasp problem in August. We were here twice in a week, once for coffee and cake and once for a birthday brunch despite the invasion of bees (a common issue in this region around early August every year). Unlike many boring, old school cafes and patisseries in Friedrichshafen, Hoepker accepts credit cards (not just EC cards which only residents of Germany use). Thank you for bringing some coziness, cuteness and technology to this area! We will be back.

Update Aug 2021: we came back a year later and the food is still very delicious, service is fast, the staff is still arrogant but also inflexible (can't order coffee separately if youre gonna order a breakfast plate), if you get a round table dining is extremely uncomfortable, and tables are too small for the plates.
This summer we didnt have an invasion of bees but flies and we were stung at least 20 times in the 30 minutes we sat there. Left the place to continue our breakfast at a simple chain coffee shop where we can have space, comfortable seating and a pleasant experience. I dont think we will be back anymore. But I dont think they care either. Unfortunately, they know they are the only option in the area and have no incentive to improve or change anything. There will always be customers accepting this standard.

This is a local petitserie that makes the cakes fresh every day. You have to try them, mmmh! Also you can go here for brunch on weekends, but before you go I recommend to make a reservation.
After a slice of cake or a brunch I also recommend to make a walk along Bodensee, on "Badestrand Manzell", which you arrive from the road to Tannenhag Schule.
