Located in a beautiful ally which makes for a good outdoor seating environment. Some of the drinks in the menu were not available. Food was well prepared and tasted good. Decent service.

Visited here with a group of 10 people for dinner around 19 o'clock. Restaurant was not busy, less than half of seats taken. There were several waiters which should have been enough.

From the beginning everything was sluggish and tangled. It took 45min to even get first drinks. Some of us didn't get drinks even after asking again. Water bottles never got to table even after many requests.

Food was delivered after an hour from order in random order and most of us didn't get all items ordered. Naan breads came when most of us had already eaten. One of the orders came when rest of us had already finished even though it was same dish couple others had.

The food itself was spicy but poorly prepared and not rich in flavour you expect from Indian cuisine. Rice was dry and sauces served in small portions. Even some of the naan breads were floury and dry, maybe they weren't freshly made at all.

As we started paying for our meals, we were told only cash is accepted. There are no sings indicating that card payments are not accepted. And it seemed that not all money was put to cash register.

Waiter didn't have list of our orders so everybody needed to iterate their orders (and what really was bring to table) at the register. And for all orders he tried to claim more was ordered and delivered to table. Also the sums were counted on paper even there were calculator on the counter and deliberately most were too much by some euros.

To summarize, if you really need Indian food at Freiburg old city, this might be the only option. But be prepared for crass service and be careful or you be overcharged for poor food.

Non of our group would recommen this place or visit another time. You can find better restaurants nearby.

Truly an authentic Indian cuisine experience. The curries were well cooked and seasoned. The rotis (flatbreads) are made in tandoor (clay oven) which gives it the perfect taste. The hosts are also quite friendly, they lent us face masks since one of us lost ours.

The only downside was that they didn't accept cards at the time we went, ATM is available at a 5min walking distance.

Food was good, but the service was very slow. They couldn't keep track of our orders (a bigger group) and the foods arrived at different times. Some courses were missing and needed to be ordered again. Not worth it, especially if you are hungry or in a hurry.

I’m so devastated about the fact that I went to visit Mahatma-Gandhi. Stay away from this place, so you don’t get your day ruined like we did. To celebrate my birthday, my friends and I went to a water park. We had many hours of fun. But what felt like a dream, turned into a nightmare when we entered this restaurant:
Food was absolutely tasteless.
Tomato soup was definitely not homemade. More like the cheap one you can buy in a can.
The prices didn’t match the prices online.
Food came in weird order.
Naan came when we were done eating.
When we addressed the bad food, the manager acted extremely rude and raised his voice at us, instead of going into dialogue with us.
I have nothing good to say about this place. Super unprofessional. Please, run away from this place, while you still can.
Also, they only take cash, and I think most of it goes straight into their own pockets.

We had today at the Rieselfeld Stadtteilfest a portion of Chicken Tikka Masala with Naan Bread. Not only charged they 4 Euros for the Naan which was more a version of a very dry yufka.
The chicken was also dry and tasted it has been sitting there for a few days already. Overall really disappointing and overpriced.

Extremely bad service and food was really bad and had no taste. Food came in random order and some of the food we received seemed like something you could buy very cheap at the grocery store. At the end we found out that we could only pay with cash which was not written anywhere clear. We ended up spending extra money for withdrawing cash from an ATM and all of this extra effort for such bad food and experience. Spare yourself from this place.
