I stayed at the hotel for two nights. I did not experience the restaraunt. The general ambiance of the entry and halls is shabby. The walls are poorly painted and scuffed; there is no modern art on the walls. The room had two "closets"; both were poles with no doors, drawers or shelves. The bed was completely worn in the middle as though a large animal had nested in it. There were no pictures on the walls. The nightstands were stained, flimsy wood boxes. The windows were not clean. Breakfast took forever as the waitperson was overwhelmed. The cheese, cold cuts were standard fare. The fruit salad looked like it was a few days old. This was the most expensive of the 14 hotels I stayed in in May/June of this year. I might have rated this higher if the price was half of what I paid. It was a convenient location; it can be loud at night if meals are served outside.

Nice location, well selected dishes with seasonal/regional offers. Good recommendation of aperitivo. Overall a lovely evening with good food and atmosphere.

Cute room in the old building, with the restaurant being Michelin rated 2018/2019. Breakfast was really good, and owners super friendly. The only thing to beware of is, being in the old city, you need to pay for parking 18 Euros/day (discounted by hotel from 27 regular price of parking lot).

Very service minded manager, excellent restaurant (for dinner and for breakfast), spacious rooms, and very good location.

I enjoyed really nice stay there. The environment is perfect, and the room makes you feel like you are at your friend's place for a night. Downstairs is Michelin restaurant owned by the same boss. So at the beginning of second day, you could enjoy a high class breakfast freely.

We stayed one night in Hotel Kreuzblumen in a Comfort Double Room and were very happy.

The hotel is very beautifully located in the old city part of Freiburg which is lovely to stroll around.
Parking is just around the corner.

Room was simple and clean - had everything we would have wanted.
The staff was very friendly with arranging our special late checkin.

Would love to come back anytime.

I would give zero stars if I could. My partner and I did not make a reservation, but arrived at 2030 on a Sunday to inquire about a table for dinner. We were met with agression and condescension from the staff. Only a handful of guests were dining and yet we were lied to and told that the kitchen was now closed. Perhaps two gay men don't meet this restaurant's view of who constitutes "ideal customers." I think this place needs a boycott as well!
