This little gem of a hotel lies in the square surrounding the cathedral. Surrounded by restaurants and ice cream shops, it is convenient for a lovely day of strolling. My room was cozy and clean with an apple, a rose, and a comfortable bed. The proprietors were lovely and most helpful. I would gladly stay here again!

Our experience starts with the adventure of arriving with the car at their "parking" hotel, driving through the city center, in the pedestrian area, with only four spots, if you arrive late that 8 pm, you need to find a city parking place because you are not allowed to park after that hour because of the neighbours, even if you paid for it.
After a long journey, we want it to eat at their restaurant, the waitress was very rude and throw the meniu on the table very offended, we observe that she had same behavior with the rest of the clients.
The breakfast was very poor and the big surprise was that we take some ham who small, he told to the staff about this but they did not care. Next day at the breakfast, same story but with a mellow, we decide not order anything in this restaurant because our health was in danger.
About the rooms, very clean but we had big problems about the noise because at 7 am every morning the maid start cleaning in the halls with the vacuum.

Their restaurant is closed on Sundays, despite this we eat and enjoy a good time at the restaurant next to them.
From our experience, We don't recomand this place !

Worst service, I waited more than 10 minutes and then I asked for the menu, then the waitress came around with several of them but didn't handle me one of them after she passed by my side (not even a simple QR code). After that she went back to attend other clients and I felt discriminated. Never received a decent attention.

Very friendly, welcoming staff, and the best views of the cathedral - brilliantly located.

We rushed into Freiburg to find something to eat and sadly we found this. Overpriced and mediocre staff. It seemed that the waiters were very unmotivated and even mildly rude when we asked simple question about the meal or the way to the lavatory. At one point they were even arguing badly with some customers and they were furious. The selection of dishes is small and overly expensive, the cheapest thing was the salad… which was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Should‘ve looked around more before deciding to eat here.

Nicely located restaurant, but not very welcoming.
We booked a table ahead for 2 persons, but we wanted to sit outside.
When a table of 5 became free, as we were standing just outside, the staff advised us that they wanted to keep it for a bigger group.
When we ordered a large meal and good wine, their attitude changed.

Great spot, friendly staff and above all: excellent gnocchi fully home made from scratch. To explain: I rarely finish my plate where ever I eat but this plate was empty within 20minutes (my husband and son were still eating) and that's saying something as I have an unclassified eating disorder. I HIGHLY recommend.
