Small portions, high prices. Kräuterbutter was served still frozen. Chocolate cake with liquid inside was served solid. Friendly service and good tasting food. Not worth it, IMO.

It was awesome but there was no English translations for mostly everything only the dinosaurs has a translations

Very atmospheric place, excellent service and wine. The food though - really small portions that are a little pricey for what you get.

I’m from Texas and just had a top quality ribeye!
My friends both had German dishes and loved them too. I would say the menu has very few items but each one is first class and would recommend this place and come back.

I could/would not say that the place is not nice and the food is not good. Senckenbergs is a local restaurant in Bockenheim area in Frankfurt with a friendly ambiance gathering local people for a calm happy evening. The food is acceptable, and of-course trying to be excellent but it is not, sorry. There are tens of such places nearby, but you pay in Senckenbergs much much more. To conclude; not recommended.

The tables near the back are too loud if there are a lot of people in the restaurant. An enclosed space with no sound baffling. The food was excellent as was the catering for allergies.
