This was my second visit to a Japanese Restaurant in Frankfurt. The first being Sushiedo, an all you can eat Sushi boat restaurant a few years ago. Mangetsu was recommended by a family member. I took my family to this place on Christmas Eve. We had a reservation (walk ins are welcome but seating depends on availability) for 6 pm. We arrived at the restaurant about 10 minutes early. The staff opened the doors sharply at 6 pm, checked our COVID Vaccination records and seated us. The staff were very friendly and spoke German, Japanese and English. They took our orders quickly and brought our drinks very fast. We ordered steamed Edamame. We wanted Takoyaki (fried Octopus balls) but were not available. We also ordered the Teppanyaki, Tuna Sashimi, Spicy Tuna roll and the “Hangetsu” mixed sushi platter. The food was delivered very quickly and were very tasty. We also ordered the ramen noodles soup and the Taiyaki dessert with vanilla ice cream. I would say I was impressed with the Taiyaki dessert and the quality of the Tuna rolls. The staff were super friendly and courteous. I definitely will go again to try their other menu items as well as their lunch specials. They are also conveniently located very close to “My Zeil” shopping center and a short walk from Konstablerwahe S-Bahn station. Overall a good dining experience at this restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place.
