Close up on aircrafts and airport operation. Took the maxi tour for a good 2 hours. Unfortunately all explanations were in German.

I did the large tour which lasts for 2 hours. It's quite interesting for aviation enthusiasts and a great way to spend time during a long layover. It consists of a complete loop in a bus around the runways. There are no visits to the interior of the hangars or fire stations. At some point it is a bit monotonous.

Huge airport without many bathrooms before the checkpoint. Very slow moving security check comparing to airports in US. You may get some pretty rude staff member if you speak English. Inside the international terminal, there's limited selection of restaurants. The duty-free shops are impressive, and there are some nice benches to lay down, watch a movie, even play some Xbox games.

Wanted to go for short city tour but there were no offices at the airport and the lady at terminal 2 counter next to the bus exit had a don't care attitude in helping us. Fortunately the gentleman sitting next to her helped us out with directions.

Somewhat helpful, no tours in English. You'd expect there to be some since FRA is a massive international airport. Staff was nice enough, although again, had a hard time communicating in English
