One of the best place for traditional food and beer in Frankfurt.
The food is exceptional and the beer is home made.
The staff is kind and all experience was perfect.

The bier is very good and I would give more than two stars for that but the place is quite dirty (I think they last washed the tablecloths years ago) and the food is nothing special. Very big servings but the quality is not as good. The waitresses were not particularly friendly.

Their regular beers are the usual Helles and Dunkles but the quality is particularly good. Right now (June 2019) they have a Meibock (my favourite) and an IPA (darker than most and not very aromatic) in bottle and a Summer Ale with a grassy aroma on tap. Food is excellent. My favourite is their Bierroulade, a slice of pork marinated in beer, filled with onion and other good things (horseradish perhaps?) and braised. Number 11 tram to Mainkur Bahnhof gets you there.

Very good bier. I went for lunch. Food was good (Zanderfilet) and the staff very friendly.

Great seasonal beers! Share the Haxe with two and you'll have a great dinner.
