I was in Proletariat last weekend with my friends. We wanted to try typical German food, i would say the food was really delicious and the portion was big. The service was really good, the waiters could speak English and they were very Friendly. We definitley would visit again.

We arrived very early, i.e. when they open, at five, and on a Monday, so we had the place pretty much to ourselves for a while, but the unobtrusive staff was very friendly and forthcoming. Food is served from six onwards and we had the mixed starters, followed by "Blut- u0026 Leberwurst mit Püree u0026 Kraut" and a Schnitzel Frankfurt style. The helpings are pretty large and the food quality is really good. Definitely worth a recommendation.

Nice local food and a small but good variety of local drinks. Service is slow but very adequate and fit's to the local culture. No credit cards accepted is of course disadvantageous.

A nice place with good food and drinks. Unfortunately, this time we had to wait 1 hour for our food but usually it doesn't happen and everything is served fast. Apfelwein is supplied by Possman but it is Naturtrüb so the quality and the taste are top! I can only recommend visiting this place

One of the best Frankfurter Schnitzels I've had! Despite the traditional rustic decor, this apfelwein restaurant is a little more young and modern than some of the others in Sachsenhausen. And always friendly service!

Really friendly service, cheap apfelwein and delicious food. We had the 'handkas mit Musik' to start then the 'KartoffelkloB gefullt nut leberwurst' (traditional potato dumpling stuffed with liver, on a bed of gravy and sauerkraut - absolutely delicious!!) and the schnitzel and fried potatoes with 'green sauce'. All enjoyable with HUGE servings, my boyfriend and I couldn't finish them. Not expensive either! Would recommend, especially to tourists as they have an English menu but it still feels local.

Typically restaurant where you can get local food and local beer plus the white whine and the apfelwine. Very fast and supportive service. Small price and local customers under forty.
Unfortunately they do not accept credit cards and European bankomat, unless you are German you have to pay in cash.
