Staff are kind. Very good for the price. Only complaints were that the bathroom was a bit dirty and the bed frames were pretty run down. Extremely good for the price hence the 5 star rating

Great hotel for the price, front desk was helpful and friendly, excellent location. Only minor quibble was that the room was very warm, other than that I doubt one could find a more convenient hotel for this price.

Booking a 3 person room would be around €100 according to Booking.com. We had to suddenly book some hotel because the Deutsche Bahn ruined our trip to Leipzig. (We are in severe uncertainity whether they will even compensate for the additional costs we made, get your stuff together ICE! Dont let your customers do the work after you messed up!) Anyways, we enter this establishment, and we are greeted by a less-than-motivated worker who greedily asks for €190 euros. Upon confronting him with the favorable online booking prices he seems to have no explanations and simply tells us we have been looking at a room for two persons... If thats not delusional behaviour tell me what is. Some fees for booking a place at the desk fair enough,.. but +90%? Blatantly scamming tourists. Shame on you Alpha Frankfurt, and shame on you ICE for putting us in this position. (We booked somewhere else obviously)

We arrived there in the morning of may 13th with a confirmed booking we did through their website and to our surprise, the man working there tell us that's no reservation, that's nothing for him and we don't have any booking with them. We asked if that website we booked through is theirs and he says it is, but they don't use it anymore so there is no room for us. Can you imagine the kind of joke this is?? Why would you have a website running, sending confirmation emails of booking you're not registering???? And it wasn't only us, later that day, we went back and another girl was shocked there with the same problem. Please, never book in here, you will never know if you'll sleep on a room or under a bridge. Apart from that, the man was rude and unfriendly, didn't offer any solution when this was a problem and situation created by them and even abandoned the reception so we couldn't discuss anything with him.

Really amazed by how unhelpful the staff is. Via Booking.com the 3 person room was €101 and when we walk in and ask for the price they told us its €190. When we asked about the price difference they outright lied to us and said the Booking.com price is for 2 persons, which was not even true. Anyway did not stay there and booked elsewhere.

Good location, heat worked well, but the room was pretty run down. Wifi only allows for one device connection and isn’t fast enough for streaming. The linens seemed clean, but the mattress, pillow, and shower all reeked of old cigarettes. The walls and doors are thin and there were a lot of other noisy guests yelling in the halls and coming and going all night. Didn’t feel very safe for a solo female traveler.

Impossible to sleep.
Constant noise throughout the night.
