First time at SPIEL, and I loved it! So much to see and do. Crowded Saturday and Sunday, of course, but one can always duck out in the nearby park to get some quiet.

We went for the third time to the Essen spiel (always on Saturday) and again it was organized really well. Last year we managed to park near the fair, but unfortunately this year just as last year already towards nine o'clock these were full and we had to go to parking 10. It is a huge parking and with the constant busses coming and going this isn't a problem. But for a yearly fair like this, you wouldn't expect to have to drive away from the city, crossing the motorway (with long queues of other visitors by car having to do the same). Once parked, you have to join the long queue of people for the busses. Parking is to be paid. Like I said, it is all really well organized, but disappointing if you have to drive as far as getting over the motorway and then get back with a bus. Like always the Essen spiel fair is great.

(Translated by Google) First time I go, and I have to say that I liked it a lot, although somewhat crowded, especially on Saturday. An advantage to be able to try games before buying them, or for mere enjoyment.
There were 6 pavilions to bursting with game stores and publishers, somewhat crowded, while there were 2 left over that were empty. I think they should use the latter to distribute something else. Even so, I liked it, especially the second day, in which I was able to play several games and hardly wait.

(Translated by Google) We were at a game fair for the first time and found a lot of games that we took with us straight away. The respective booths always explained everything well. You could try most of them and the employees even taught you how to do it. Also the Anime/Manga offers were cool. I really had fun exploring all the new stuff. The drinks were very expensive and we didn't know that you could bring your own. In addition, there were quite a few toilets at the beginning, but further back there were more. Still, they were clean.

(Translated by Google) There are very good things and some bad things in this fair of board games.
I start with the bad: I find it despicable that they give press passes to enter a day before the rest of the mortals. Because in most cases they end up with the scarce stock of the interesting games that arrive. It is elitist and unfair, the only solution is to get yours. I arrived a day later and there was nothing that interested me.
On the other hand, it is a great opportunity to have fun and practice English. And try at least the games that you will NOT be able to buy.
It was also overcrowded, perhaps more space would not hurt, there were almost empty ships so perhaps, distribute it better.
For me it will surely be the last year, without the press pass at least
