The hotel is generally not bad. However ... We were in it one night with my friend (not a partner) and ordered a room for two, in the picture it looked like two beds connected together, however, we got a room with one bed to 160 cm. On this, our night was very not comfortable. (The staff said that all the rooms are busy and that in general they have such small beds everywhere that of course madness). Also in the bathroom no conditioner for hair, that of course is also not convenient if you are a girl ..

Been here for a few days.
People are nice, food is nice, room is nice. Outside views do very nice as well. This is no brainer to take this hotel wheneven you are planning to Essen Spiel. Hope I will be here again one day with friends.????

Let me start saying that this is a 4 star superior hotel, which in my opinion is close to a 5 star than a 4.

The Atlantic Congress can be reached by metro (Messe Ost / Gruga exit), or about 30 minutes by taxi from the Duesseldorf airport.

It is also located in front of the Essen fair (the pavilions can therefore be reached by foot in a few minutes)

The structure is beautiful and full of design elements.

The hall is large, spacious, furnished with a minimal but refined concept. The armchairs, and the glass space where you can enjoy open flames, lit in the evening, are an example of this.
At this level it is possible to access to the bar and the bistro / restaurant room (where breakfast is also served), the CUXX, which can also be used by people who are not guests of the structure.

3 fast elevators allow you to move between the 7 floors of the hotel.

The room, absolutely modern and detailed, has remarkable design elements: glass door to access the toilet room, exposed shower, LED lights in some parts of the room, and a lovely green armchair to match the cushions.

On the 7th floor there are SPA and fitness areas, as well as a terrace-lounge accessible only in a certain range of times (except for events organized there).

Breakfast takes place in the bistro \ restaurant rooms of the CUXX, and features sweet and savory foods, with some subtleties that I have rarely encountered (including: 16 types of tea that can be consumed only after infusion (no prepackaged in sachets), fresh smoothie, 3 types of honey, 6 of jams, 3 varieties of seeds).
Coffee (and similar) can be taken from two machines, and despite this, the quality of the product is really good.

The staff is quick, kind, and is able to capture the needs of customers and satisfy them even before their request is made.

The price to stay here is very good (considering the quality offered).

As stated in the opening words of this review, in my opinion the Atlantic Congress is a 5-star hotel, I recommend it to all those who want to enjoy a very pleasant structure at a more than commensurate cost.

This hotel is run by people who do not care for human beings or small businesses. I booked a room here for the Essen Spiel convention during Covid 19 Pandemic and when the convention was cancelled, the hotel refused to move the reservation to the next year, give any credit, or any refund at all. This is horrible business practice with no heart at all. They simply took my $3500 dollars and said, if we refund you, we will go out of business. Well, that kind of business practice will get you to go out of business. You should be ashamed of yourself. SHAME on you!

Stole my money during covid19 Pandemic. This hotel refused to change reservations or refund a reservation when the convention the Essen Spiel I was attending was cancelled and I was unable to attend. This was very poor behavior for a hotel and they should be ashamed of themselves for these poor business practices.

Very good hotel, but it’s a pity that the service is so bad

They should go and manage a kindergarten. Completley class-less front desk dealing with guests as they are kids. They even call you constantly in your room and send someone to nag you if you are sleeping just to make sure they collect any room service payment or whatever parking charges even though I'm still in the hotel and they have my visa. I will look for better options next time.
