Overall, a nice place to relax. From the looks of it, it seems mostly like a conference hotel, but the sauna/pool is truly the selling point (though I wouldn't mind for the water to be a few degrees warmer). The rooms are clean, nicely furbished and practical, though some may complain they are small. I would disagree.

Its a bit far from Essen center, and not many places to eat or sightsee. The hotel bar can also use some improvement. It's a nice place, but it needs some panache, maybe some light jazz music in the background (not necessarily live music).

The hotel is pretty close to the motorway and to Gruga parc. Level is more a hostel than a 4 stars hotel outside and inside also. The tap was dripping in the bathroom. There was no lunch available in the hotel, neither around there. Breakfast was OK.

Definitely not my type of hotel but fair review of what I have seen. Not an ideal place to br without your own transport or relying on taxis.

It ranked 4 stars but the truth it's hardly 3 stars, had to pay an extra 6 Euro for the hotel parking per day, unfortunately I forgot some items in the room but the room service said they couldn't find any ????

Nice staff, great facilities including the pool, sauna, and gym. Biggest downfall is that the rooms feel a little outdated. But with all the other positives, it's hard not to recommend. There's even a bus stop right outside to connect you to where you need to go. Would come again.

We stayed there for 5 nights. Breakfast is bad, room were comfy but you can feel they had good days long behind them. The personnel was really helpful. Good in the restaurant was not even. Tortellini or burger were really bad, but duck or Gulash were ok. Beer is cold and waiter kept our glasses full. The biggest gain is that the Fair halls are nearby and the price was okish. If you can spend a bit more, just go to Atlantic.

Staff is apparently waaaaay too unable to provide friendly and proactive customer service.
Extremely unfriendly receptionists. Housekeeping did not clean my room during my stay and soap and shampoo (both the same) smell so strong and horrible.
For the pool, no one checked whether you are actually allowed to go there (vaccinated, tested, recovered). Many loud people in the sauna and quiet room. Spa receptionist is also extremely unfriendly and kicked people out of the pool because "it is already closed" - even though the homepage says the pool was open for 20 more minutes.
Breakfast is very avarage.
Location rather bad because you depend on having a car.

NEVER coming back to that pathetic place.
