I'm sorry to say we had a terribile experience at dreams Dusseldorf.
The lack of communication was incredible- we received a message the day before our booking asking what time we would've arrived and we promptly let them know we would have been there at around 11am. No answer. We spent the whole night in train and we expected to be able to at least drop off our luggages once we arrived, as they knew we were going to be early. We got there and the door was closed, the reception empty. We knocked at the door after a few attempts at the doorbell, but nothing. We called them on the phone, on WhatsApp, we sent messages, nothing.
So we left, kinda enjoyed the city carrying around our luggages, and got back there around 1pm, still no one there, still no answer at the phone. At 1:50 the cleaning lady came outside to tell us the reception was closed and they were going to open at 2, so we waited 10 more minutes even if the reception lady was inside already, only to find out there was a problem with our room and they needed more time. We left and came back half an hour later and we finally got our room - the reception lady still had to go and check the room was clean before handing us the keys, and luckily it was.
The room was huge and very nice, but the lack of attention to details is evident: there's a kettle -positioned in a place with no plug- and two mugs, but not even a teabag or some coffee, it's just the kettle and the mugs. No wardrobes, no fridge, no safe, nothing more than soap in the toilet.
The reception lady is incredibly nice but unfortunately doesn't speak much English, which should be essential for this job.
And to round off, at 9:30 in the morning, with check out at 10/11, the cleaning lady entered our room- that was locked and with keys inserted.
We were probably just unlucky because we read such beautiful reviews before we came, but unfortunately we won't be back.
