I ate twice at this restaurant

First time the service was good. The woman was friendly. I like the food.
Second time there was a different server and he ignored me completely. I left but came back two hours later. Same situation, he ignored me for good 15 min. I was about to go, but then he finally asked me what I want to order.
The food came quickly.

☑️ good location
☑️ delicious food

❌ too expensive
❌ poor service

The Mapo Tofu is good. Was not too fond of the deep-fried potstickers as well as the inari ramen. The latter was lukewarm and had too much lemon grass for my taste. Drinks and cocktails are exceptional. So is the very friendly and fast staff. Prices are fair, even though they are very strict on the cocktail happy hour. We were there 17:53 and ready to order 17:58. By the time we had the waiter to order it was 18:00 sharp and the happy hour had passed. A leniency of a few minutes would have been fair.

We ate here (without checking reviews first!) because of the great location near Frauenkirche and it was near our hotel. But oh my gosh, it was the worst ramen I've ever eaten!!! I couldn't understand the taste of the broth, I've had instant ramen which tasted better! My friend ordered the oyako donburi which was described as having fried chicken, chicken looked like it had been steamed. We had gyoza as starters, they were just deeped fried (and not steamed, then fried like proper gyoza) I honestly don't expect much from Japanese restaurants in Europe, but this place was exceptionally bad. Eat at your own risk!

Great Food and quality.
Very well decorated and set up, with a beautiful view of the Frauen Kirche.
Chef Mike is very friendly and recommended us great food.

Great view of the frauenkirche and Neumarkt. However, the food did not impress. I ordered the ebi yakisoba which included kimchi and was listed as (spicy) on the menu. The service was quick and the dish presentable. However, it was very salty and not even the least bit spicy. I would not recommend the yakisoba here but maybe other dishes are better.

The Umaii Ramen Bar opened only recently in Dresden. There is a successful one in Leipzig since years already. We ordered the Ramen with Duck and Tonkotsu Ramen (the classic one). The noodle texture is ok but the taste soso. The meat and the toppings are good .. the soup is less flavourful than the original one and too salty. The Gyozas are fried like the one in Leipzig (we did not order it since pan fried ones are much better and more common in Japan). Two positive points are Draught Kirin :-P and an incredible view if you sit outside. The service was ok .. just seemed to be a bit inexperienced but friendly.

Don't expect to get Japanese ramen here. It's a weird fusion kitchen ramen, with the noodles and broth (the core of any ramen) not satisfying in taste. Leaves you with a feeling of emptiness.

Meat and toppings were good.
