It was nice to see the Tram festival and 150 years old Trams in a display. One of the nice event I had experienced in Dresden.

This monument stands in tribute to Frederick Augustus I, King of Saxony during the Napoleonic Wars. This is known for his attempt to pursue a neutral course during the war and attempting to preserve Poland as an independent state. For this he was given the sobriquet "the just".
This monument is a bronze sculpture depicting Frederick Augustus seated in a chair, on a pedestal. Around the pedestal on the corners are (I think) four allegorical figures of Justice, Prudence, Victory and Faith.
The monument stands prominently in Schlossplatz, in front of the high court of Saxony. It's right next to several landmarks in the old town of Dresden, and worth a look

One of the interesting things to see at Schloßplatz in the historic centre of Dresden is the Monument to Friedrich August I King of Saxony, which is situated in front of Oberlandesgericht Dresden building facing Kaholische Hofkirche (Dresden Cathedral).
This monument was created by German sculptor Ernst Rietschel in 1843 and was originally located at Zwinger Palace. It was greatly restored and brought to Schloßplatz in 2008.
Now you can see the bronze of Friedrich Augustus I seated in a coronation mantle, with a large book in his left hand resting on his leg. The statue is situated on a bronze base, surrounded by four allegorical figures representing justice, piety, gentleness and wisdom - virtues likely associated with the King of Saxony.
You can conveniently see this monument when passing through Schloßplatz during your sightseeing in Dresden. It is worth a few minutes if you enjoy viewing monuments and statues of historical figures during your travels.

Not really such an important monument in it's own right but part of the plaza surrounded by the palace, church, court house and river so you will definitely notice it.
