Not sure where the dozen Kölsch went that were noted on the coaster - they must have been very good!

We love this place- Best Real German food and atmosphere in all of Cologne. Our waiter "Bjorn" was so friendly, helpful, attentive. We went to 4 other traditional restaurants but the best Schnitzel and beer was here. Dreaming of this place now from New York, New York.

If you are hungry definitely give this a miss. We could barely cut through the pork schnitzel it was so dry. (The kindly waiter insisted it wasn’t.) The Wienerschnitzel looked and tasted like it had been strangled. The Rösti I’m pretty sure came from frozen potatoes. The salad was drowning in dressing and literally was topped with a hair. On the other hand, it was terribly overpriced.

Amazing food, absolutely lovely service! Everything was perfect from walking in to leaving 10 drinks later (small 0.2L beers, served often and going down well, between 2 )
Thank you so much and see you soon!

Friendliest service I experienced in Germany. Waiter was very well spoken and made us feel happy even though he was rushing around and was really busy.

We loved the schnitzel, not big in size but it is nicely crispy outside and juicy inside. Beef tartar on bread roll and on Rosti was amazing. I always liked heavily spiced ones but this changed my mind.

They have a few tables around where you can stand and there are a few chairs. Inside can be really crammed but people don’t seem to be minding to share the table.

Was working in cologne for a couple of days.

Wondered out by myself for a couple of drinks. Really enjoyed my visit here. Traditional Kolsh. Very traditional, ran by husband and wife (?) in very traditional clothing.
Beer was delicious, bill was tallied on my beer mat.
I didn’t eat but food coming out looked great.
Traditional music and lively atmosphere even for a week day.
