Historic place with authentic food, open since 1920!
I've been brought from some locals and definitely, if you want to try some Colonia dishes you're in the right place!
Fun fact, if you don't put a lid on your beer glass, the waiters will continue change the empty glass for a new one filled with fresh beer!
If you're in Colonia it deserves a visit! Cheers!

We went here 11 all together. Had a guy who kept us well taken care of, entertaining u003d animating and keeping us well supplied with drinks! The food we ordered was cooked good and was very tasty! Why 1 star? Just after eating we were having a good time with the people on two fairly full tables around us. This included laughing and clapping. Other guests on the other 2 tables did likewise. In fact those guests on the other two tables had actually started with clapping and cheering. Then came the "Schreck" from the "Kammer" a woman who let us know with a harsh, unfriendly tone, " no clapping and having a good time in an unacceptable way". This ruined the good feeling we all had and for that I do not care to spend my money!
Maybe she should go to the cellar if she wants to laugh! But it is strange at a place that is well decorated with Fasching Carnival scenes, that it is a problem to laugh or clap (by products of having fun). What would happen with singing?

Love it. Quiet corner of Cologne by a lovely church. Stood at the small bar (away from the large food tables) and enjoyed the kölsch very much. Feels less touristy, nice old-school, local style.

Great kölsch and a nice chicken option with a Hollandaise type sauce

Great food if you like schnitzel or sausage!
The waiter was insane! watch out for their constant encouragement to neck your beer, the waiters when challenged will out drink anyone!
The atmosphere was electric u0026 given how busy it was (it was packed to the walls) the food was piping hot u0026 very tasty!
I felt the prices were very reasonable too...
